ARTS EDUCATION
Art, like education, should be accessible to everyone. These two entities are inseparable; both serve as mediums of self discovery, innovation, and empowerment, with the ultimate purpose to enrich lives and to build meaningful connections within the community.
As a performing arts educator I bring an amalgamation of experience to every project. I believe in student centered learning where artistry is championed alongside academia. I provide short term workshops as well as long term residencies providing a diverse array of services to a wide population of participants.

Arts Ally is a homegrown organization birthed from the seeds of lack and limitation to serve communities with scarce artistic resources within education and public care programs. Artistic director, Rebekah Rickards, served as a dance educator for 8 years in both the Philadelphia and New Jersey school districts. During this time she was often disheartened by the very limited arts based educational opportunities offered within school programming. This largely effects underserved communities who don’t have the resources to independently pursue arts education apart from school institutions.
Arts Ally believes arts education is just as important as academic education, and should be equally accessible, to every young scholar and community member. We strive to provide arts education tailored to your specific needs that will partner alongside your community to help you reach your goals.
Some sample classes are included to give you an idea of the unique cross disciplinary programming we provide. However, if you have something in mind that you don’t see feel free to reach out as our resident artists have a wide array of teaching experience and creative capacity.
